Final Post

Hi everyone,

We prepared 5 materials in our course this semester:

• corpus based teaching material

•  flipped classroom video

•  AR/VR-integrated teacing material

•   AI-integrated material

While doing these, the AR/VR integrated material I enjoyed the most was because it was fun to prepare and design a QR code to introduce a city. My least favorite was the flipped classroom video because it was a little difficult to find a quiet environment, shoot and edit the video. I think the most powerful aspect of this course was showing that technology and English education can be integrated in a very fun and productive way. Also, course was sometimes difficult and sometimes easy depending on the difficulty of these tasks. Moreover, this course helped me develop many materials/material ideas that I will use in my teaching life and taught me how to incorporate technology into my lessons. One thing I would like to change in this course is that the number of materials we prepare should be less, because too many materials, combined with other courses, can be a burden to students. My advice to students who will take this course next year is to think creatively, try to choose the right one from the diversity of the site/app, and ensure that the materials are visually aesthetic and appealing to the student.
